山梨通訳ガイド研究会(YIGS)と山梨英語チャットクラブ(YECC)(どちらも休会中)
山梨通訳・ガイド研究会(Yamanashi Interpretational Guide Society:YIGS)を2005年から15年ほど主催していました。
このYIGSは、通訳ガイド、特に山梨県の観光や歴史、文化などを勉強し英語で紹介してみたい、「山梨県にいながら英語でガイド発表できる練習会を、英語ガイド技術の向上や情報交換等をする会を作りたい」という思いから、一定の英語力を有し、通訳ガイドの勉強と練習をしたいという意欲を持つ人々のための研究会ですした。1か月に1度または2か月に一度のペースで、会員が興味を持ち練習したテーマのガイド発表をし、他の会員の発表を聞き、学びました。テーマは、山梨県の観光地や歴史、文化に関わるものが多かったです。
山梨英語チャットクラブ(Yamanashi English Chat Club:YECC)は、英語によるガイド発表の練習をする「山梨通訳ガイド研究会(YIGS)」の活動の一つで、英語ガイドをする際に関連するだろうと思われるテーマについて英語で話し英語力をアップする場でした。ここでは、そうした場面を想定し、いろいろな質問などに英語で答える練習などをして行きます。考えられる質問の分野としては、自己紹介から始め、旅行に関する質問だけでなく、日本の教育、英語教育、生活様式、風俗習慣、政治、経済、社会、そして話題の時事など、いろいろと質問されるテーマがありました。
English Guide at Sightseeing Spots! "Takeda Shrine and Lord Takeda Shingen"
Why not join a guided tour to know“Takeda Shingen,"the great warlord who led Takeda

The name of Takeda Shrine is well-known, but if you just visit “Takeda Shrine,” whose facilities are not so different from other shrines, we don’t think it's very interesting. However, if you learn that the “deity” enshrined in this shrine is the famous warlord “Takeda Shingen,” who was the most feared by the famous warlords Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu, you will become interested in this shrine. Moreover, if you learn that beneath this shrine lies the remains of Lord Takeda Shingen’s castle and residence “Tsutsujigasaki Mansion,” you will definitely feel something different that no other shrine has. That’s why we will explain in an easy-to-understand way about Takeda Shrine, Lord Takeda Shingen and Tsutsujigasaki Mansion. Why don’t you make your Takeda Shrine tour even more enjoyable while learning about a piece of the romantic history of Japan’s Warring States period?
Courses: There are two courses.
Course 1: This course is a two-hour course in which we will explain Lord Takeda Shingen, Tsutsujigasaki Mansion
and Takeda Shrine, while visiting both of the Shingen Museum and Takeda Shrine.
Course 2: This course is a 90-minute course in which we’ll briefly explain Lord Takeda Shingen, Tsutsujigasaki
Hall and Takeda Shrine while visiting only Takeda Shrine.
Number of accepted people: Up to five people can be accepted per group.
Fee: The fee for Course 1 is 4,000 yen per person. Course 2 is 3,000 yen per person. Please pay us in cash before the start of this Shrine tour.
Tour starting point and dates: Course 1 starts from the Shingen Museum located south of Takeda Shrine (in Kofu City). Course 2 starts from the southern foot of the red bridge on the south side of Takeda Shrine. The tours start between 9:00 and 10:00 am on weekdays. We will decide on a date and time convenient for you and the guide, and then You will make a reservation for the tour.
Guides: Either Makoto Koshiishi or Harumi Koshiishi, who are National Government Licensed Guide Interpreters. Makoto Koshiishi has over 20 years of experience as a licensed English guide-interpreter, and is skilled at explaining shrines and historical sites. Harumi Koshiishi still has a little experience as a licensed English guide-interpreter, but she tried her best to help you create fun memories with her fresh eagerness. Depending on the day and time, one of us will be in charge of the tour.
